  Chihuahuas, pugs, dsachunds, min-pins, beagles, Boxers, Boston terriersare all good short-hair breeds. Boxers are probably a little big (50# pounds) However,if you’re considering adoption (Good for you) then the breed shouldn’t matter. Shelters seldom offer or have available full blooded breeds, unless they specialize in rescuing only specific breeds.Visit the local rescue shelters and choose a dog that you like that meets your personal criteria. That’s the best way for a match. The shelter people can give you an idea of it’s eventual size, and demeanor, and you can interact with it to check how you feel about it
