  You don’t say what kind of parasites, but few parasites kill, and normally only when they’re not treated or have been neglected far, far too long for the dog to recover.

  You need to ask your vet to explain about these particular parasites and what his future condition will be.

  Meanwhile, stop worrying and just do what the vet says.
