Check the wormer is suitable for dogs that age. It’s never too late too worm, but too strong a dose can make them sick.

you should really take the dog to the vet. It sounds like it might be, but the vet would be able to tell you better than anyone on here… sry.
Hope its not too late. =//

Before worming him yourself you need to take him to the vet. He could have any number of parasites or, with the vomiting, parvo which is a deadly virus for puppies.

Call your vet and ask for an appointment. 6 weeks is too young for the puppy to be away from his momma, and he may not be weaned, yet. Discuss the worming issue as well as his recent vomiting, which could be from worms, but probably not if he’s not vomiting worms.
Then follow the vet’s instructions for care.

It is never too late for wormer but you should go to the vet to get it. The over the counter wormers generally don’t work and what the vet gives will take care of all different types. The puppy needs to have a check up if he is throwing up. That is usually not just from worms. If there is a way to put the puppy back with its mother for a couple of weeks it would be best. Puppies should be with their mothers until they are at least 8wks. old. Good luck and enjoy your pup.

You should take it to the vet, I believe your not suppose to give a puppy deworming medicine or flea medicine until they are at least 8 weeks. If he’s puking then it may not be worms it may be something more serious, worms don’t make dogs puke. Take that puppy to a vet.
