If my dog has worms, is there a chance i’ll get it?

My dog has these worms that look like rice in his poop, im pretty sure it’s tapeworms, he is an outside dog, is it likely that i will get worms?And if i do get these worms, is there a surgery involved or just meds?

    depends off the type of worm…but you would have to eat them or put them in a rather large cut in order for you to actually "get" them.

    If you ingest the worms you could and there is a medication for it.

    I’d get your dog wormed. And don’t worry about getting worms unless you like eating your dog’s feces. In that case, though, I think you’d have more serious issues to deal with.

    Haha. Dont worry my dog had worms and I did not get them! But there is a 50 50 chance you might if you do there is a medication for it. :)

    1. Take him to the vet, those can make him seriously ill. It’s cruel to leave him with worms. 2. Yes, you can also get worms. There is no surgery needed for either of you, but he definitely needs medicine and if you get them you will too. It would be cheaper to just take him to the vet and solve the problem now before you get them as well and exasperate the situation.

    Also, for the feces people, worms can be transferred through contact with infected fecal matter. Which I can guarantee the dog has been in contact with his feces and that he is likely going to be in contact with his dog.

    It’s a possibility. If you dog eats it’s poop, and then kisses you, there is a chance. There is a possibility. Get you dog to a vet for some tests. Then get meds. If you got it, I feel really bad for you. =( Sorry!

    Yep you could get em. Get a stool sample to the Vet to determine what type they are and the Vet will prescribe the proper meds.
