How often should you give your dog worm medicine?

I have a 12 year old Shih Tzu and I was just wondering if I should give him worm medicine for parasites?

read the bottle of medicine. it should say how often to give it the medicine

YES you should be.
read the instructions - you need to give it to him every 1 month, 3 month or 6 months for his entire life - it depends on what type you use.
you should also be using flea/tick treatment monthly like Frontline.

Yes. Depending on the dosage schedule of the medicine. The one that I give my dog is every month. But make sure that your dog doesn’t have worms before you give it the medicine. It can cause bad side effects.

Yes you should worm your dog on a regular basis. I have 14 cats 2 dog and 3 horses and they all get wormed about every six months
