I have washed them in the washing machine, with a small amount of detergent. Then washed them again, with no detergent, to make sure to get all the soap out.

I have also handwashed, but they still smelled, and looked dirty.
Questions;
1.Is it safe to put squeeker, balls, and rope toys in the dryer?
2.How Do you wash you dogs dog toys?

  squeaker and balls, no. rope toys are dryer safe. I was mine with bleach. just be sure to rinse very well because bleach will give them serious diarrhea.

  I usually don’t wash my dogs toys because she seems to like them dirty. I wash the ones that get covered in mud and spittle with hot water and dish soap. If they are really smelly you can use a little baking soda and lemon juice and make a paste and give the toys a good rub don’t use anything that you wouldn’t use on dishes. Digesting chemicals can be really harmful. Keeping the toy dry can help control odors especially rope toys. Dogs have a sensitive sense of smell and taste and things like detergent might be offensive to them. Don’t put the toys in the dryer, they are rubber or vinyl its going to make them melt. Rope toys may not even dry because they are wound up tight. Make sure that the smell isnt from fluid trapped inside the ball, like in the sqeaker part. Hope it helps.

  I have put all of my dogs plush and rope toys in the washer with detergent and used the hottest water, and then in the dryer… they all turned out ok. My dog has enough toys that I can put all of them in at once and it makes a full load!

  Hard toys such as plastic and rubber toys, no.. most of those are dish washer safe tho ( I know Kongs are).. or can be washed with hot water and dish soap, or even a bleach solution, 1 part bleach to 10 parts water, be sure to rinse well and dry.

  I say if you put something in the wash tho and it still smells funky, just toss it and buy a new one.

  depends on the toy

  For soft ones I usually wash them in the machine and if they have plastic parts or squeakers I let them air dry. If they dont I just toss them in the dryer.I never know if something is safe in the dryer, so to me, better safe than sorry, when in doubt, let it air dry.
  In the washing machine I usually use HOT water and a bit of detergent. Even the grimiest toys come out clean and smelling good

  For hard rubber toys (like Kong balls) or tennis balls, I put them in the dishwasher and make sure to put it on low heat. They come out looking like new!
