how can you train your dog not to bark at other dogs becaus ei took my dog to a dog beach and all he wanted to do was bark at dogs why does he do that?? how can i train him not to? hes a german shephard who is 4 years old help?? thanks

  Does he listen to you? Sounds as if he might be the one in control. I would hire a trainer. Also, get an empty steel can (Slimfast can or coffee can), put pennies inside, and when he barks, rattle it. The noise works for some dogs, but not all. It has worked wonders for mine though, and they stop in their tracks.

  don’t be afraid to smack him, he needs to know that you are boss. But if you don’t want to hurt him, whenever he barks just grab his snout and shake and say “no” in a strong voice
