Do owners that give up dogs for adoption, get notified when the dog gets adopted?

It would be nice to know that the dog found a good home!

    not ussually no..

    once you give the dog up to a shelter or rescue.. its not your dog, and its none of your buisiness what happens to the dog.

    No. Once you surrender a dog to an organization that is the end of it for you. If you ask, they might humor you, but generally they don’t.

    No. When you give up a dog, you forever forfeit any rights to that dog.

    No they do not.

    I do not think anyone who gives up a dog has a right to know what happens to it once it is relinquished.

    No they aren’t. They give up their rights once they sign pet over to shelter/rescue. Considering how many are put down compared to adopted a lot of ppl wouldn’t being a call.

    No they do. Once you surrender the dog that is the end of any claim to it and to know about it. In most cases owner surrenders are put down that day if not the next.

    No. Once they give up their dog they have no care or right to know whats going on in their life whatsoever.. IN other words, That dog doesnt exist in the owners life anymore

    No they do not. When a dog is taken to be given up, the owners or whomever gives the dog up has to sign a paper to terminate rights to that animal

    No. If you’re willing to give up a dog, why should you care what happens to it after you dump it?

    Plus it protects the adoptive family from disruptions from the previous owners who might decide to "change their mind" and "want their dog back".

    no after you release the dog to them they don’t want you to know anything about the dog..i agree it would be nice..

    No. The point being, if you care about the dog, you don’t give it up for adoption. If you can’t take care of it, you’ll find a reliable new owner yourself.
