    No they are not, trust me, I know from plenty of personal experience having had and currently having both dogs and cats both. In my experience Frontline Plus has been the most effective, especially when used with Capstar. It is also worth noting, that some jerk I know (family, unfortunately) killed two of his cats when he and his girlfriend put a full dose of Heart’s flea medication on each of his kittens; needless to say, I’m not a fan of the cheap stuff.

    I’ve been quite happy with frontline and it’s OTC available at most pet stores most vets i ‘ve been to recommend it too

    Hartz is no good. You don't need a prescription to buy Frontline or Advantix – you can buy them online for a better price than your vet would give you.

    no, you are only wasting your money, spend a little more and get Frontline or Advantage, it works

    I have cats, but over the counter stuff has NEVER worked as well as Advantage etc. for me.
